Africa is vulnerable.
According to various international bodies, including the United Nations and the African Development Bank, Africa is the most vulnerable continent to climate change, despite contributing the least amount of emissions. It is also vulnerable to other events, such as pandemics and war. The world is currently facing one of the worst hunger crises ever seen, exacerbated by shortages and rising costs of food, oil and fertiliser caused by the war in Ukraine.
ForAfrika is increasingly focused on empowering people with the skills they need to produce their own food and sell the surplus to secure an income. Under Fred’s leadership, our programmes in Uganda have blossomed and garnered high praise from both the government and our United Nations partners.
Fred has an extraordinary ability to quickly assess a situation and react accordingly and imaginatively — and he is willing to replicate his success in the other countries we serve too.
With a personal motto of “Win, win, win,” he just swooshes in and gets things done!
